A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.

We retain an email message when needed to answer it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical details when a visitor loads a page:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Our material identifies routes to the Trinity County Sheriff's Records Lobby, Trinity Superior Court, California Department of Justice, and California Megan's Law Website. California Penal Code section 11105 limits dissemination of state summary criminal history, and DOJ Record Review is for the record subject rather than a public name search. Visitor data is not turned into a third-party record or consumer report.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules apply to information submitted there. Review a provider's policy before running a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Trinity County offices, California agencies, courts, legal-aid resources, and commercial search providers. Once a visitor leaves our pages, the destination's privacy policy controls.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.

Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed to:

California privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide rights beyond this policy. The California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 et seq., governs access to records held by public agencies, not private-site visitor data. Subject to applicable law, you may:
